Michael worked part-time as a mental health consultant with Ontario Works for 5 years.  Clinically, he was very astute at assessing clients mental health needs and formulating a plan to help them resolve their issues.  He has a calming presence that enabled him to engage our clients when others could not. He was able to build trust with some very resistant and fearful clients. Michael is an excellent therapist. If I ever required some personal help, I wouldn’t hesitate to seek his help.

I am also a brother, a husband, a father, a friend and athlete. Life experience

goes a long way towards helping others sort out this thing called 'Life'.

As a compassionate, well-grounded clinical social worker, my goal is to enhance your overall well-being. I connect with people from all walks of life...from kids to young professionals, academics to families. I will be non-judgemental as I help you resolve stress, addictions, mental health concerns, transitions, parenting, relationship conflict, life skills and grief.

I specialize in building a genuine, trusting relationship with clients and I use principles of Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT).

My experience - professionally and personally - has led me to focus on attachment and connection to each other. One of my favourite sayings is from spiritual leader Ram Dass “We are all just walking each other home.”

In my 12 years of working as a psychiatric consultant to the Canadian Mental Health Association Muskoka Parry Sound Branch via tele-psychaitry, I have had the pleasure of working closely with many great clinicians, but Michael Kuntz is a truly special individual. Michael has a great demeanor with patients and makes them feel comfortable and at ease. Patients have commented on the excellent care they received during their individual counselling with him. Muskoka’s (Ontario’s) loss is the west coast’s gain.
